A camera cage side handle is a rig staple these days, and its something that has been on our minds for a long time. But in true KONDOR BLUE fashion, we didnt want to make a dozen variants of a side handle, we wanted to create one that could do it all. Thus, the KONDOR BLUE Wing Side Handle with an ergonomic grip was born. Taking inspiration from traditional pistol grips, we set out to ensure this camera cage side handle is comfortable first and foremost. After testing several size variations, we landed on a wing design with an ergonomic grip that fits hands of all sizes. The contoured wing with rubber grip features symmetrical knurling textures on each side with grooves cut along the back spine. This camera cage side handle stays comfortable in all shooting temperatures and environments. The start and stop trigger is ideally located for the index finger and has been recessed to prevent accidental record triggering. The remote trigger cable is nested to keep it locked in place while naturally guiding your cable management. Just above the record button is a cold shoe that is great for mounting a lav receiver, timecode device, and similar accessories. On top of the wing grip, a mount for ARRI-style 3/8-16 anti-twist accessories is ideally placed to work in conjunction with our Magic Arm or Mini Lock lineups. To top it off, the wing grip is ambidextrous and quickly converts to a left or right handle by removing a single bolt. The side mounts for ARRI-style locating pins position the rosette attachment bracket, which includes built-in pins for the ARRI-style anti-twist pattern to keep your grip from slipping. The rosette brackets 20 mm offset is optimized to work alone or to adapt with a range of KONDOR BLUE rosette accessories such as our Pro Pivot Rosette Modules, NATO Clamp to ARRI-style Rosette, and Rosette Cage Adapter, to name a few.
