- IMPROVED ANTI-THEFT DESIGN - Rather than relying on thread-compound to hold your Ford short antenna in, the new Ford SmartLock Antenna uses a locking mechanism that requires a small Allen key (included) to remove the antenna. This way, theives cannot simply remove your new Antenna but it allows you to remove it easily without any hassle.
- IMPROVED LOGO ORIENTATION - Based on feedback from our TuffLock Ford & RAM antennas, one painpoint was that when screwed-on, the antenna logo was facing an undesirable direction. We fixed this by designing the SmartLock antenna to be 360 degrees adjustable in 45 degree increments, so you can set the logo exactly where you want it. The Antenna will "click" into place giving you a firm & high-quality feeling.
- FITMENT - This 12 inch antenna fits all model years of full-size Ford & RAM Trucks, making it perfect for Ford F150 accessories. This truck antenna DOES NOT FIT: roof-mounted applications such as the mid-size trucks such as the Ford Bronco Sport, Ford Maverick, Ford Ranger.
- IMPROVED INSTALLATION & REMOVAL - 1. Unscrew original antenna. 2.Thread on the adapter and snug with the Allen key (included). 3. Slide Antenna over the adapter. 4. Snug the set-screw in place with the Allen key (included). That is all! The antenna comes with two newly designed adapters so that it is compatible will all model years of fullisize Ford & RAM pickup trucks.
- RADIO SIGNAL - As with all short Antennas, radio signal performance will be more sensitive when you shorten the length of the antenna. This Antenna will not affect Bluetooth or Satellite radio. Please don't expect to get as many radio stations as your factory long whip antenna mast with this style antenna.
- CARWASH SAFE - Just like the original TuffLock Ford & RAM Antennas, the SmartLock Antenna has a durable & strong design which means that you won't need to worry about your antenna breaking off in automatic carwashes.
